Canadian Flight Centre is a flight school in Pitt Meadows and Kamloops airports that is training pilots from over 70 different countries. We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic contributors to join our team.

Pilots and Flight Instructors

Types of aircraft flown: Cessna 152, Cessna 172, Piper Cherokee, Piper Tomahawk, TB10 Tobago, Citabria, Super Decathlon, Seneca III, Seneca V, as well as our advanced flight simulators.

Ground school instruction opportunities available.

Flexibility between Pitt Meadows and Kamloops is a bonus.
Tailwheel experience is a bonus.

Flexible schedule.

Job description:

  • teaching ab initio students for PPL, CPL, night rating, currency checks etc. – ground instruction, instruction in aircraft and simulator
  • documenting training progress and maintaining TC required records
  • managing students, follow up, training scheduling, monitoring the training progress of your students
  • communicating and coordinating with supervising instructors, other instructors, dispatchers and maintenance as required

Regular instructor

We are looking for motivated, responsible and committed Class 4 instructors or higher, for teaching on our single engine aircraft, as well as the simulator.


Required qualification:

  • Canadian Commercial Pilot License
  • Class 4 instructor rating or higher
  • Prior teaching experience is a bonus

Multi-IFR instructor

We are looking for motivated, responsible and committed Class 3 instructors or higher, with MIFR qualification or ready for it, for teaching both on single engine and multi-engine aircraft, as well as the simulator. Get your valuable multi-PIC time!

Required qualification:

    • Canadian Commercial Pilot License
    • Class 3 instructor rating or higher
    • Current and valid Multi-IFR
    • Prior Multi-IFR teaching experience is a bonus
dispatcher working

Dispatcher, Receptionists, Admin Assistants

We are looking for part time or full-time permanent receptionists / flight dispatchers.

  • flexible schedule 4-5 days/week (usually includes 1 weekend day)
  • answering the phone and emails
  • aircraft dispatch and flight following
  • managing bookings
  • invoicing
  • student database maintenance
  • miscellaneous office tasks

Required qualification:

  • Good computer skills
  • Sales skills
  • Aviation Background is preferred – does not need to be a pilot, but general aviation exposure/experience is required
  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate

Preferred experience:

  • Aviation: 1 year+
  • Admin: 1 year+

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME)

Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and AME Apprentices

Halcyon Aviation is Canadian Flight Centre’s related Aircraft Maintenance Organization. Halcyon Aviation is a small, but growing AMO in Vancouver and Kamloops area, servicing piston engine aircraft from Cessna 152 to Piper Senecas and the occasional turboprop.

Among Halcyon’s clients are some flying schools with a total fleet size of over 30 aircraft, as well as private customers and some airshow planes.

No weekend work expected.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME)
We are looking for part time or full-time permanent Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to perform aircraft maintenance and supervise and train AME apprentices.

Required qualification:

  • A licensed AME. M-1 is a must
  • Experience with single- and multi-engine piston aircraft
  • Qualified to hold ACA, and possibly assistant PRM in the future
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance: 3 years +
  • Fabric or wood experience a bonus
  • Aircraft paint experience is a bonus
  • Avionics knowledge is a bonus

AME Apprentice

We are looking for part time or full-time permanent AME apprentices.

Required qualification:

  • An experienced AME apprentice or certified AME
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance: 1 year +
  • Fabric or wood experience a bonus
  • Aircraft paint experience is a bonus
